This is the first of over 30 (!!!) Matte-Paintings for my own Book/Game/Concept/whatever named "Khorghil".
One day of course there will be exist some Text to explain this location and of course i wont humilate you with 30 of Matte-Paintings. So have no fear
The middle green "island" isnt a random nature beeing. It is the stage for the next Illustration where i illustrate a Culture of Khorghil living inmid this swamp. An illustration-synergy-effect

I'm assuming the tuffets are often underwater, and that's why the grass is combed flat rather than the more usual tangle of greens trying to outgrow each other for the sunlight?
And because I'm always interested in words, is the KH in "Khorgil" prounounced like the CK in "lock" or the CH in the Scots "loch" and German "ach"?
